Two-stage procedure

What is the two-stage procedure?

A two-stage procedure is an extended procedure for clearing an export declaration or an export accompanying document. If the value of the goods exceeds EUR 3,000, you must use the two-step procedure. Below that, the one-step procedure is also sufficient. In the two-stage procedure, you must present the goods at the inland customs office at the place of dispatch. Only then can you clear the goods at the EU border customs office.
