What are Dual-Use Goods?

Dual-use goods are goods that can be used by both the civilian and the military. In general, dual-use goods mean the good that can serve more than one purpose at a specific time, like Global Positioning System (GPS).

Examples of dual-use goods are chemicals (certain type), machinery, technological materials and software. Also, dual-use goods refer to goods for non-explosive purposes and for any form of assistance in the production of nuclear weapons.
