What does AES stand for?
AES stands for “Automated Export Service.” With this system, export declarations are issued electronically in the EU. This system had been made compulsory since 2009.
In the EU as a union, the system is called “Automated Export System.” However, the individual member states have different names for the system. In Germany, for example, the system is called “ATLAS.”
