Gerlach Customs Services opens new location in Appenweier/Germany

Gerlach, the leading neutral provider of customs services in Europe, is further expanding its network and opening a new branch in Appenweier. The location is strategically well chosen.

Gerlach Zolldienste GmbH continues to expand and has now opened a new location in Germany: The customs service provider is now also represented in Appenweier. The branch is located on the important transit link of the A5 motorway in the immediate vicinity of the border crossing into French Strasbourg.

“The opening of our new customs clearance location is a further milestone in our worldwide expansion”, says Thomas Baumann, Gerlach Managing Director Germany, “Appenweier has a prominent position as an inland customs office at the geographical level of Strasbourg and near the border triangle of Germany, France and Switzerland. Traditionally, many trucks with goods from North Africa stop here. In addition, our customers can obtain their transit papers for clearance in Switzerland and for transport through Switzerland to Italy at this Gerlach location.”

At the new Gerlach location in Appenweier, a total of eleven employees ensure that customs clearance is handled flexibly, quickly and smoothly. The branch is open on workdays from 6:30 to 17:00.
